Safety is Paramount for this event and it is hoped that what we learn from this event will help us in the future regulation of our sport and formalising our sport in the eyes of Irish Authorities such as Irish Water Safety, Irish Waterways, Irish Coast Guard and RNLI, the Dept of Transport and our friends at the Irish Sailing Association and the Irish Surfing Association.

 

BILLABONG TOW-IN SESSION IRELAND PRESENTED BY MONSTER ENERGY, IRISH SURFING ASSOCIATION (ISA), IRISH SURF RESCUE CLUB (ISRC) READY AND WAITING FOR MASSIVE SWELL IN IRELAND


Mullaghmore, IRELAND (Wednesday 2nd November 2011): The second Tow-in Surf Session presented by Billabong and Monster is to be held this European winter at the famous big wave spot of Mullaghmore Head on Ireland’s west coast. The invitational only contest’s waiting period has officially started and runs until March 1st 2012, with the organisers from the Irish Surf Rescue Club (ISRC) needing waves at least 20 feet high to run the one day event.
